One of the ENDS broke off after unplugging it once. I purchased this item through Amazon. Sadly this happened well after any warranty would have helped me. They were great for their part. BUT the part in general was poorly made. After all, I don't make a habit of pulling out my HDMI cird just for fun. DO NOT BUY BELKIN.
Works well when it arrived - The cable guy said I had to buy their 6' cable for $150.00 - said NFW. - went to amazon and read the reviews - I will buy from you again - THANX.
I bought this cable to connect my Dell XPS m1530 to my HDTV. The cable is quite lengthy, and appears to be very durable. The image quality was excellent once all the necessary settings and adjustments were made on my laptop. Overall highly recommended due to quality and price.
The common length of 6 feet goes nowhere unless you're connecting directly under the television itself. The 24K gold connectors and copper conductors are meant to reduce signal distortion, and, while I can't say whether they work better than even cheaper cables, I can't tell the difference between the Pure AV and the much more expensive Monster HDMI 1000HD Ultra-High Speed HDMI Cable (2 meters). Although the wire covering of the Pure AV cable is funky -- more of a stiff nylon mesh than the more standard rubberized exterior -- it seems durable, more so than the cheaper, thinner cables I've seen. Depending on your set-up, your HD cable box or player may be located at the opposite side of your connections; a six foot cable will barely go from one side to another of a 52" set, let alone have room for the connection. If you're buying a Blu-Ray player or other HD content provider, you'll need an HDMI cable for best quality video and audio, provided, of course, that your set has an HDMI connection. I recommend going for this less expensive option unless you're a Monster cable aficionado. The ability to transmit 8-channel surround sound as well as HD video is comparable.Especially when hooking up a larger HD television, the extra length that this particular HDMI cable provides is important. The difference between composite video and HDMI is noticeable. You'll want to get the most out of your HD equipment, and this reasonably-priced cable is a good option.
You can't beat this cable, especially for the price. Such a better connection than S-video or component cables. Get this and you'll be happy that you did.
